Well goodness me, who do we have here? Absolutely not the Time-Travelling Alien... No indeed. These are just police phone box earrings (They're £4 by the way)
And this is a bag charm/keyring like thing with police phone box with a spotty bin on wheels, a pair of hearts, and a soundwave device. (This one's £5. £4 if there are only three charms)
There's a two charm version as well - It's a bit subtle - you'd probably need to have watched the program I'm not admitting to have ever watched to get the hearts thing. (£3)
Alright... you might be sensing a theme here, but it's all just a co-incidence, that's all...
Some wheely bin earrings, perhaps? (£3)
No theme to be seen here. Move along please. (£6)
And last up - the police phone box phone charm. Or bag charm. Or zip charm. (£2)

Beard Bells
You may have seen Beard Baubles taking the internet by storm...
Of course I have to jump on that band wagon.
Introducing Beard Bells!!
Tiny jingle bells attached to hair grips!
Join the conversation here (So far it's just lots of people telling Mark he needs some...)

Going International!
The lovely Bev of The Eyeglass Room in Canada has become my Canadian distributor!
She's taken a selection of glasses chains to sell in her new practice.
Look at how beautiful it is there...
Today Cardiff and Canada... Tomorrow the world!!!

Ooooh, Look! I have the internet in my new flat! It’s all wireless and everything!
I finally got around to submitting the suncatcher design to the madcowbeads website – here it is -

I will update more regularly!
I’m back!
Finally...
It’s all been a bit manic with the house move (that three month stay in the temporary house lasted a little bit longer than i’d planned... but only about a year and three months longer)
So now I’m in my very own flat – I can make as much crafty mess as I like! And hopefully I’ll be able to keep this a little more regularly updated when (if) I get an internet connection sorted.

Things planned for this year:
More craft fairs!
More stock!
More sales!
There’s a plan for you! I’m hoping to rustle up some interest in selling chains to more opticial practices in Cardiff. But I’ll see how that goes.

Things I think I might try making this year – beaded thread bookmarks – a little like spec chains, but with out the ends. More danglers. They seem popular in searches. More lanyard/ID holders – although they don’t seem as popular as they were before Christmas! Beaded wraps for candles.
Oh what was that other thing? It was a really good idea! A stroke of inspiration!! Where’s it gone...
Anyway, it was a really good idea. I just don’t remember what it was!
I ought to make some more jewellery as well – especially since my business cards state “jewellery and accessories” and not just “random stuff people really need”
I just had an order of fabulous square glass beads delivered, and I’m looking forward to using those! They should make some pretty necklaces...
And I’ve got some lovely silver coloured things on their way... clasps and connectors and crosses and rosary centres.
What else...? Well I haven’t heard back from the BBC about the Great British bake off... So i guess I’ve not got through to that! Next year, Gadget!
I have applied for a position as a freelance designer on the Madcowbeads website, I’ve made the suncatcher, I’ve taken the photos – All I need to do is the write up. Hopefully now all the fun of the move is out of the way I’ll get time to do that this week. And I wonder why I never have any time left for cleaning ;-)

Here we go again!
My word... I have been very neglectful of this blog! (But since no one knows about it, I don’t suppose it’s that important!)
Things I have been doing rather than updating: Making jewellery. Lots and lots of it. I have enough to stock a craft fair. Which is handy, since that’s my next plan of action for it. Some time in October or November, hopefully... At the Roath Farmers Market, at the Mackintosh Social.
I’ve been doing a stock check. I’ve finally got round to listing everything that I’ve made, and pricing and labelling it. That was something else I’d been putting off. But it’s done now. And each new piece gets added as it’s finished, so now more back logs of shiny things!
And I’ve sorted all my beads into lovely divided boxes. That was more a procrastination technique than anything else, but it is quite useful to be able to find things.
My friend at work has introduced my spec chains to two other practices, so I’m spreading my designs through Cardiff!
I’ve introduced a friend to the wonders of jewellery making, but disappointingly, she’s doing more of it than I am. Still... It’s free labour, I suppose!
I’ve been looking for a new house (I’ve found one now. It’s all going ahead. Worryingly quickly! It’s quite scary.) But at least I’ll have a place of my own to mess up with all the crafting (mess making) I do.
I’ve been selling a fair few things at the opticians, which is good. It’s different to online, as you can see what people like, and don’t like, and why. (Mainly the price!!) I did have a lady stop me as I was locking up the shop recently – desperate to buy a spectacle chain. Now for that, I’ll open up again! She bought one for her mum, then came back in two days later and bought two more, since she liked the first one so much, she kept it for herself!
So everything is coming together, slowly but surely. I hope to be able to update this more regularly, and with more photos now that I’m on-line at home, and with any luck I’ll have some followers to update!
